Ambassador Devesh Uttam visited the exhibition of Lithuanian artist Ausra Kleizaite at Kaunas Regional Court.

The exhibition “Playing now Me, now You.” is inspired by Lal Ded (Lalleshwari), the fourteenth-century mystic poet-saint of Kashmir. The drawings trace a dissolving boundary between body and soul, self and other. Some were made in India, others after returning, when India lingered as an afterimage, while others arose from memory and distance. Together, they span fourteen years, arranged not chronologically but spiritually.
In charcoal and pastel, the works invite a simple question: who is seeing, and who, in turn, is seen?
