Advisory on Indian Driving Licenses for Travelers and Residents in Lithuania
The Embassy advises the Indian Nationals traveling to or residing in Lithuania to carry only their original Indian driving license that includes the necessary security features. It has come to our attention that several individuals have been detained by local authorities, including immigration and border police, for presenting driving licenses that are invalid or suspicious due to the absence of security features or other issues.

The following issues have been reported:

Fake or Duplicate Licenses, Multiple or Photocopies of Driving Licenses,  Licenses Without Security Features,  Licenses with Faded or Erased Information
In all such instances, local authorities have taken immediate and strict action, including detention and further investigation.

To avoid any legal consequences, it is imperative that the individuals only use their original, valid driving license. Photocopies, duplicate copies, or licenses lacking security features are strictly prohibited.

We urge all the Indian Nationals (traveling to or residing in Lithuania ) to ensure that their driving license is in proper condition and fully compliant with legal requirements to prevent any complications.
